Hi Everyone,

Hope you had a good Halloween. This month’s sample posting coming in a day or two - so check back for that and remember, this month you’ll get a clipboard to try out some of our Gluers’ clipboard design ideas!

Below is the info on Gluer Elizabeth’s clipboard, in her own words:

Have you ever wished you had a great way to display your small art pieces, ATCs, or art postcards you have received from friends? Did you ever wish you had a place to display a prototype of your art long enough to see if you liked it? Wish no more, because UHU has the perfect solution. They have these wonderful clipboards and I turned mine into a display and design board.

Materials:

Saunders clipboard, unadorned
Paper of your choice, enough to cover both sides Trim (I used rick rack) Scissors Clothes pin or bulldog clip UHU Glue Stic UHU Twist & Glue UHU Permanent Glue Roller

Instructions:
1. Measure and completely cover both sides of your clip board using your chosen paper and UHU Glue Stic. Pay special attention to the edges, top, and bottom. (see figure 1)

2. Be sure to measure carefully and cut out the area around the metal clip. (see figure 2).

3. Measure and cut a piece of rick rack that will go around the clipboard. Leave a small tail. (see figure 3) 4. Using your permanent glue roller, attach the rick rack to the clipboard. Be sure to press firmly. I found it was best to take my time with this step and not apply the roller (glue) too far ahead.

5. When the rick rack is firmly in place, apply a drop of Twist & Glue to the tail. (see figure 4)

6. Hold firmly in place using a clothes pin or bulldog clip. (see figure 5) 7. When dry, cut the excess tail away, matching the two pieces of rick rack where they meet.

8. Add additional rick rack to the hole in the clipboard and hang on a wall. (see figure 6)

9. Add a favorite art piece, or use as a design wall. (see figure 7)
