Hey UHU fans,

One more fabulous luck box project from UHU Gluer Jessica - Here are the details:
I cut the paper to fit around the bottom of the box and adhered it on with my UHU glue Stic. Then I used a different paper to cover the top of the box, again with my glue Stic. I put a ribbon around the side of the box top, but used my glue runner for that part, since it works best for ribbon, in my opinion. Then, I glued the cute little shamrocks to the top & side of the box and a lady bug on top. Lastly, I sprayed the whole top of the box with glimmermist to give it a pretty sheen. Very cute to put little Saint Patty’s Day treats in!

I love the glittery top and pastel plaid sides….great job, Jessica! We’ll have the new sample and project post up in early March…stay tuned, stay dry and Spring will be here soon!

Hi Everyone,

So our Gluers have been very busy - and I’ve got a slew of projects to showcase this week.

First up is Elizabeth - an altered book fan, here’s her lucky book project, with commentary: I was simply delighted when I opened my UHU package this month to find the gals at UHU had sent me a journal. After the problems I had last month with my Valentine box, I was tickled to see this project. I quickly set to work decorating it with the supplies I was sent, while adding the background that I made from book pages and two color washes.

I decorated the front with the large shamrock I received in my kit, along with the green paper I received. I even used UHU Stic, which I have grown to love, to attach the foam shamrock. I was surprised at how easily and sturdily the foam stuck to the paper. For the back, I used part of a playing card that had shamrocks on it. The bunny reminds me of Easter, so I’ve got two holidays covered in this journal.

With the extra paper and supplies, I made a bookmark. I used the shamrock on one side, along with the word “Thoughts.” The ladybug is nestled within some green bits from my Christmas potpourri and sits on the other side. Now I have a journal to keep my thoughts and a way to bookmark them.

We’ve also got projects from Halle and Deanne. Here they are:

Halle had some musical inspiration and made this “Lucky Lady” box:

And Deanne went to town on decorating her lucky journal (I like the shamrocks on the key chain!):

Gluers will have more details and ideas on their blogs if you want ‘em!
