I am glad it’s Friday and that there is great weather in store for the weekend up here in Maine. Gluer Mary is also a New England dweller and one of the reasons I love her project is that it incorporates a Maine favorite -LL Bean. She reused a Bean shopping bag (I have tons of these around the house) and made a really charming card. Here’s the deal:
She used UHU Twist & Glue and the UHU permanent roller. She reused/recycled a book, brown paper bag and cloth she had around the house, as well as an old rusty star from a holiday wreath.
The card features the Bean bag and a stamp she’s had in her collection. Check out the full details on
Mary’s Blog.

Didn’t get enough Earth Day Yesterday?
Filed Under Gluers Projects | 1 Comment
Hi everyone,
I’m a bit behind…got caught up in other thing yesterday and didn’t get a chance to post Gluer Elizabeth’s cool Earth day-themed project yesterday. So, here it is:
Many of us have gotten those Tyvek envelopes in the mail. They are soft, strong, feel like fabric, and have lovely threads of pattern in them that are highlighted when painted with watercolors, fluid acrylics, or watered down acrylic craft paint. Because the paint bleeds through to the back, they must be backed, preferably by cutting the piece to twice the finished length and folding it onto itself inside to inside. There is no better glue for Tyvek than UHU Original Stic which is distributed exclusively by Saunders in the US. It works like a charm.
A full set of instructions can be found at Elizabeth’s blog.
One more Earth-friendly project coming this week…stay tuned and keep using that UHU!
