It’s UHU Idol Time!

Hi everyone,

I’m very excited to announce a BIG UHU contest for a new UHU Gluer!

Ask yourself: Am I creative? Do I love UHU? Do I love blogging about my craft projects? Do I love being part of a creative team? Do I love getting free UHU?

If you answered yes to all of the above - you might just be perfect for the next UHU Gluer. UHU Gluers get as much free UHU as they can handle, make projects using UHU for this blog and their own blogs and help showcase and promote UHU and the sample program for bloggers.

We’re running the contest in two parts: 1) We’re taking applications, then, 2) We’re sending materials for a UHU challenge to the top 5 contestants. Here are the nitty-gritty details:

Bloggers interested in becoming a UHU Gluer must:

1) Have an active blog where she/he posts regularly about craft projects (Craft diversity is great - any and all specialties are invited and encouraged!)

2) Must be in the U.S. or Canada - our program can only send samples to these places

3) Must be willing to use and promote UHU for projects on your blog and this gluewithuhu blog and encourage more folks to check out this blog and use UHU.

Not too hard, eh? If you are interested, please send me an email (by September 10!) with your blog address and a short statement as to why you should be the next UHU Gluer.

The other Gluers, Rose and I will review the entries and pick 5 finalists to participate in the challenge part of the competition. We’ll post the announcement of the finalists the week of September 14th. Then, we’ll send each finalist a package of fall-themed craft goodies (sample pictured here) and 4 types of UHU to make a project with. Finalists will be required to use the materials we send, materials they have on hand, and not spend any more than an additional $10 to complete the challenge.

Finalists will send the photos of their projects - we’ll post on the blog and announce the winner the first week in October. The new Gluer will pick the free UHU sample for October and highlight a project on this blog using it.

New Samples & a Great Big UHU Prize Basket

The sun has come out, Summer has decided to return to Maine. And it’s Friday. Yippie on all counts.

What do you love about Summer? UHU Gluer Jessica is running a contest on her blog asking you to list what you like about the season and in return, you’ll be entered in a random drawing for a UHU basket of assorted glues and adhesives. It’s about a $30 UHU value! Check out her blog and enter the summer giveaway!

It’s also sample time around here…and because summer is usually sticky, it’s a perfect time for UHU Tac. Tac can be used in creative ways to adhere 3-D objects, hang art on walls and other fun things. I find it super-handy around the office to throw paper on the walls during brainstorming sessions. Great for holiday/birthday decorations too. And very soon we’ll have a special project that Gluer Jessica did for this month to share as well.

Here’s the skinny: To get a free UHU Tac sample, you must be a blogger or frequent contributor to websites/message boards where you can post a review. You must live in the U.S. or Canada. You have to promise to post a review/project on your site and let me know. If you’ve gotten a previous sample, make sure your review is posted and please make sure I’ve seen it!). Got it? Get it (the UHU) by emailing me your request with your blog address and postal mailing address.
